A sincere thank you to all those who gave during the Direct Donation Drive. The Queen Mary community is wonderfully giving and contributed more than $1500 to start the year!
The first General PAC Meeting of the year will be held next Wednesday, October 17 at 6:30-7:30 pm in the school library. Take this opportunity to meet other parents while learning more about what is happening at the school. We will have guests from North Shore Neighbourhood House and the Queen Mary Family Learning Program, as well as the City Pre-Teen Youth Worker and School Nurse.
There will be free childminding available for young children.
School staff will also be available to answer your questions.
As an IB World School, Queen Mary must convene an IB Joint Committee consisting of school staff and parents. Together, this group has the responsibility of reviewing and revising IB policies at our school.
At this time, the Committee is in need of additional parent participation. Because this is also the year that Queen Mary is undergoing an IBO evaluation, a commitment to meetings at 3:45 -7:00 pm (dinner included!) on the following dates is needed:
Mon, October 22
Mon, January 14
Wed, April 17
Lastly, you must also be available to take part in the IBO evaluation visit on April 8 & 9.
This is a great chance to get to learn more about the IB program as well as have an impact on Queen Mary. If you are interested, please contact Principal Jennifer Wilson at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 604.903.3724.
The Queen Mary Family Learning Program returns in October!
This year, PAC has started Friends of Fun Lunch. Every $10 donated to this program will provide a student in need with Fun Lunch for one month. We hope you take this opportunity to donate as little or as much as you can, when you can, to help the Queen Mary community.
To get started, login to your MunchaLunch account and click on Fundraising Open in the top menu. Thank you for the generosity! If you have questions, please contact us at email@example.com.
Did you know that your donation supports fun at Queen Mary, like the Ice Cream Social and Fun Day activities? Help us start the year off by contributing to annual Direct Donation Drive!
You can drop off cash or cheque to the office or go online to donate. Feel free to submit this form or not, so we can acknolwedge your contribution. Thank you!
In partnership with On The Go First Aid Training, PAC has organized a Babysitting Course for your grade 6 student on Friday, September 28 from 8:30 am - 3:30 pm. This is a Queen Mary Pro-D Day (school will not be in session).
This is a great opportunity for your student to learn not only how to care for younger children, but also how to prevent and respond to emergencies. More info about the course can be found by clicking here. Get your spot now, as space is limited.
If the form sent home last week didn't quite make it to you, click here for a copy!
