You are welcome!
Our next General PAC Meeting is on Wed, November 21 at 6:30-7:30pm in the school library. There will be holding an open discussion about planning for lunch and after school programming at Queen Mary. We need to hear from you too, so please bring your ideas!
November 23 is Queen Mary Day, our school’s birthday. Show your school spirit by wearing red, or even better: A limited edition red Queen Mary t-shirt!
T-shirts are $10, and available online at: www.getbold.com/stores/queenmary
A portion of the proceeds will support Queen Mary's purchase of emergency supplies.
If you prefer to pay by cash or cheque, please contact us directly.
Our Family Photo Day returns this year! This is a great opportunity to get professional photos of your family while also supporting PAC. Space is limited - contact us now to avoid disappointment. To reserve your spot or get more information, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Now that the library is back to work, volunteers are needed to continually help sort books and tidy up! If you can spare some time, please contact either of the librarians at Leah at email@example.com or Jocelyn at firstname.lastname@example.org.
A sincere thank you to all those who gave during the Direct Donation Drive. The Queen Mary community is wonderfully giving and contributed more than $1500 to start the year!
The first General PAC Meeting of the year will be held next Wednesday, October 17 at 6:30-7:30 pm in the school library. Take this opportunity to meet other parents while learning more about what is happening at the school. We will have guests from North Shore Neighbourhood House and the Queen Mary Family Learning Program, as well as the City Pre-Teen Youth Worker and School Nurse.
There will be free childminding available for young children.
School staff will also be available to answer your questions.
As an IB World School, Queen Mary must convene an IB Joint Committee consisting of school staff and parents. Together, this group has the responsibility of reviewing and revising IB policies at our school.
At this time, the Committee is in need of additional parent participation. Because this is also the year that Queen Mary is undergoing an IBO evaluation, a commitment to meetings at 3:45 -7:00 pm (dinner included!) on the following dates is needed:
Mon, October 22
Mon, January 14
Wed, April 17
Lastly, you must also be available to take part in the IBO evaluation visit on April 8 & 9.
This is a great chance to get to learn more about the IB program as well as have an impact on Queen Mary. If you are interested, please contact Principal Jennifer Wilson at email@example.com or call 604.903.3724.
The Queen Mary Family Learning Program returns in October!
