On the last day of school, PAC was pleased to announce creation of the Bill Reid Principal's Discretionary Fund at Queen Mary. Starting next fall, our families will be able to get limited financial assistance directly from the Fund to support their student's extracurricular activities. This would include the NVSD Band & Strings Program, after school programs held at Queen Mary, as well as those held elsewhere through other organizations. More information to come in PAC's September Newsletter!
With sadness, PAC announces that Lauren Wood is stepping down from the role of Communication Officer. We appreciate all the hard work she has put into our website, emails, and even sign making! Her family is still at Queen Mary, so you are sure to still see her around. Good bye, Lauren, and thank you so very much for making the Chair's job easier this past year!
Do you have a bit of LEGO laying around the house, not being played with? Do you have bins of LEGO that have been in storage too long? Consider donating your used LEGO to us! PAC is trying to coordinate new after school LEGO programs at Queen Mary to start next fall. If you wish to donate LEGO or money towards the purchase of new LEGO, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
It's official! As of June 4, 2015 (the certificate went up yesterday) - Queen Mary is an authorized IB World School. We join the only other 2 schools in North Vancouver - Capilano Elementary and Carson Graham Secondary. Many well-deserved congratulations to our hard working administration and staff!
As the end of the school year approaches, PAC sends out great thanks to all our wonderful volunteers! It has been a great year of fundraising and the support we have from the Queen Mary community has been overwhelming. Thank you, everyone!!
